A video of my performance with the amazing Thomas Glenn at Noe Valley Chamber Music, last May. A formidable artist, Thomas has performed with the San Francisco Opera (including the premiere of Dr. Atomic), the Met, English National Opera and Chicago Lyric Opera. The poetry is by San Francisco writer William Taylor, a phenomenally talented and emotionally powerful poet.
“Love/Hate” On The Fringe
I’m delighted to announce that scenes from my one act chamber opera, Love/Hate, will be performed this coming September at the Philly Fringe/Live Arts Festival, an international presenter of the performing arts. The festival is actually two concurrent arts festivals, the Live Arts Festival and the Philly Fringe, rolled into one. CoNEXTions: The Next Generation of Opera will be presenting the piece with the Center City Opera Theatre on September 12th at 3:00pm.
Melody Moore Sings “Lilacsâ€
Last May I had the pleasure of performing my setting of Walt Whitman’s, “When Lilacs Last in the Dooryard Bloomed”, at Noe Valley Chamber Music in San Francisco with the stunning Melody Moore. Melody and I connected immediately – her powerful performance, and complete emotional commitment to everything she performs is rare. I’m looking forward to working with her on a new recording in 2011.
